The Lexington Bluegrass Mobility Office was established in 1997 by the LFUCG as the central point of contact in all inquiries concerning mobility (transportation) issues. The Mobility Office offers a carpool computer ridematching program (this program is temporarily unavailable but should be back up and running by early Summer of 2008). The Mobility Office also offers the LexVan program, a work commute vanpool leasing program. These services are available to anyone that lives or works in Fayette or any of the 18- county Bluegrass area. Aimed at reducing air pollution, traffic and parking congestion, road repairs and gasoline consumption, the Mobility program is managed by the Lexington Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). Anyone who is interested in carpooling, vanpooling, biking, telecommuting or transit can call the Mobility Office at (859) 233-POOL (7665).

The counties included in the Ridesharing program service area are: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Estill, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard, Harrison, Jessamine, Lincoln, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Nicholas, Powell, Scott, and Woodford. You can view or download Ridesharing/LexTran Brochures here.
